Conditions and benefits‎

Our people are the key to making our services and environment uniquely Curtin. We value the contribution of our employees by offering a range of employment conditions and workplace benefits which support and develop rewarding careers, healthy lifestyle and work/life balance.

Employment conditions and benefits

In addition to providing a range of benefits and programs as conditions of employment for staff, we offer lifestyle and financial benefits; essential services (banking, superannuation and health insurance) to nice-to-haves (shopping, travel and entertainment).

We provide competitive superannuation contributions to our staff of up to 17% via schemes administrated by UniSuper.

Salary packaging is an option available to all employees of Curtin who have either an ongoing or a fixed term contract. Salary packaging allows employees to sacrifice some gross (post-tax) salary in return for services or goods that are charged pre-tax, saving the employee the equivalent tax rate that would be paid on that portion of income.
